Renata M. Jenkin, MD, PhD, attended McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and was awarded her medical degree in 1989. She served her two-year internship at McMaster University (1989-1991) and conducted her dermatology residency at The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (1991-1994). She further received board certification in dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology and remains at the forefront of her challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations, such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, the Seattle Dermatological Society, and the Washington State Dermatology Association. Moreover, she attained fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. In addition to her medical degree, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (1976), a Master of Science degree in Immunology (1982) and a PhD in Reproductive Immunology (1987), all of which she acquired at McMaster University. She feels that her success is attributable primarily to her love for her profession and dedicates her spare time to alpine skiing, hiking, and her family and friends.
